The appraisal process can be impersonal and confusing at times. Bernhardt SwissTrust wants to connect with their clients, simplify the process and just be there, credible.

Appraising is also the family business. Nathan Bernhardt was just 21 years old, when he began following in his father’s footsteps. Born in Portland, Oregon, Nathan attended Ainsworth Elementary School, Lincoln High School, the University of Oregon and Portland State University.

Nathan was an Eagle Scout who later served six years in the military. Now, he is married with twin daughters who were born in 2005.

A few weeks ago, an elderly friend of mine living in the Portland area asked me for my help. She was getting ready to sell her house and needed an appraiser. I had called a few with no response, left a few messages and then called Bernhardt Appraisal. They answered right away. I explained the situation with Helga and her timeframe. He was extremely professional and thorough explaining the process and walked me through everything. We scheduled the appraisal. Nathan came out and completed the report in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to have someone that was professional, knowledgeable and a really nice guy to too! Bernhardt Appraisal deserves the highest recommendation. When I first called Nathan about an appraisal, he was extremely professional and flexible to what I needed, and I soon learned upon meeting him, that he was also very detail oriented and timely in his reports and drawings. Overall, Nathan's appraisal experience and knowledge about the housing market was extremely impressive, and that is what gives him the advantage over his competitors. Great rates too!
